Jacques Goulet is President of Sun Life Canada. In this role, Jacques oversees the company’s Group Benefits, Group Retirement Services, Individual Insurance and Wealth Management businesses in Canada. Jacques is also responsible for Sun Life Canada’s Digital Health Solutions and Client Experience Office. Jacques guides the organization in its Purpose to help Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.

Prior to joining Sun Life in 2018, Jacques had a 29-year career at Mercer where he held a variety of leadership roles in Canada, Europe and most recently the United States. As President, Health and Wealth at Mercer, he was responsible for the firm’s global retirement, health, investing, consulting, and investment management businesses, serving Clients in more than 100 countries around the globe.

Jacques is bilingual and originally from Shawinigan, Quebec. In 2018, Jacques received the 50th Anniversary Tribute Medal from the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie for his contribution to Quebec’s international influence during his career.

Jacques sits on the Board of the Montreal Heart Institute and is a member of the CLHIA Board of Directors. He is also a Cabinet Member for the 2019 United Way Campaign for the Greater Toronto Area and supports the Youth in Mind Foundation as Honorary President of the 9th edition of the Ball of the Mayor of Quebec City, a prestigious philanthropic event that makes the difference for thousands of young people in Quebec and Eastern Quebec.

Jacques holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Concordia University and is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
