Co-op program for students in actuarial and information technology programs

Please note that these roles are available to students in an official co-op program. We target a number of specific schools, and positions will be posted through your co-op career centre each semester. All postings will be listed through your university co-op job portal.

  • Actuarial co-op students enjoy challenging work and are a part of our professional community. This includes exam support and participation in education sessions.
  • Information technology co-op students work within our Enterprise Services division in roles such as business systems analyst, application developer and project co-ordinator.
  • As a Sun Life co-op student, you will have the opportunity to build professional networks and participate in social events.
  • Successful students will have the opportunity to return for further co-op placements with the potential to build a long-term career at Sun Life.

Summer internship program

Our summer internship program is open to college and university students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. As a summer student, you’ll have opportunities to learn about the financial services industry and Sun Life in particular, to help kick-start your career.

Positions typically run from May to August in a variety of areas, including finance, customer service, office administration, information technology and human resources.

The summer internship role is posted from January to March each year. Opportunities for external candidates will be posted to university career boards. For internal referrals, information on 'how to apply' is posted on The Global Source. Mark it in your calendar.
